Our Story
In 2018, a group of engineering students from Arizona State University came together to solve the electrical needs of the Shonto Indian Reservation. The majority of the Indian Reservation is currently living without electricity and are not able to store food, or have running water.Â
In the last year, our team has been able to design, prototype, and test an affordable PV solar power system.
This year, we are planning on building four systems in Shonto, as well as continuing to test and improve upon our current system design. Partnered with EPICS, EWB, and powered by IEEE; we have the opportunity to provide essential electricity those who need it.
