Our Off-grid PV Solar Power System is built to give basic necessities to people who are in need. The Shonto community is too far from the power grid to be connected, and most of the residents cannot afford alternative options to generate electricity. Our 2 - 330 Watt Solar Panels generate enough power to give the residents access to refrigeration, lights, and the ability to charge small mobile devices.

The electricity is stored in an array of 12 V batteries that hold enough power for the system to run for five days without the sun. The power is converted from DC to AC by a power inverter and accessed by the user via a surge protector.
